Assign rugby jersey numbers to your club fairly, based on position and player preferences. Works for rugby union and rugby league.
Create your team — free →Rugby numbers are tied to positions — #1 is always the loosehead prop, #9 is the scrum-half. But squad numbers (as opposed to match-day shirt numbers) still need to be fairly distributed among players who may share positions. This tool handles it.
Loosehead Prop (#1), Hooker (#2), Tighthead Prop (#3), Locks (#4, #5), Flankers (#6, #7), and Number Eight (#8). Forwards traditionally take the lower numbers.
Scrum-half (#9), Fly-half (#10), Centres (#12, #13), Wings (#11, #14), and Fullback (#15). #10 is one of the most coveted positions in rugby.
In match-day squads, #16 is typically the replacement hooker through #23 for additional backs. Squad numbers may extend beyond 23 for full training squads.
These suggestions appear automatically when players select their position during preference submission.
